The funky black and white pattern on this MacBook Pro's screen may remind you of an ink blot test. This MacBook Pro non retina took a huge hit from the back. The damage did not go through the LCD, so the glass was intact. Just the LCD needed to be replaced and the computer was working great again. Non-Retina Repairs The new Retina displays are built completely different than these older Unibody machines. On the older unibody machines there is a panel of glass that covers the LCD to protect it from dust and scratches.
